My whole life has been centered around food. I grew up helping my grandma and my mom whenever I had the chance in the kitchen. During my senior year in high school I took my very first culinary class and I fell so much in love with it that I decided to go to college for it and make it a career! I graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts in 2012 and a Hospitality Management degree in 2013 and went on to explore the restaurant industry. In an interesting turn of events, restaurant life was not a life I wanted to live. I stumbled on a job working at an assisted living facility and was introduced to a whole different side of food. Since then I have ran daycare kitchen facilities, but it wasn't until 2020 that I found non-profits. I have been hooked ever since. It has been an absolute pleasure working at Meals on Wheels and I am certain I have found my calling here. Cooking homemade from-scratch meals for the people in need in my community fills me with such a sense of pride and accomplishment. I am honored and excited to see where this job takes me in my future!
